Lexington Police Report

October 8, 2012

Officer Vivas assisted Lee County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest of a subject wanted out of Burnet County on a Felony warrant.

October 9, 2012

Officer Nurse was dispatched to 6th and Caldwell Streets in reference to a subject speeding on a motorcycle. Subject was located and advised to keep the bike off the roadway.

October 10, 2012

Cpt. Wooldridge was dispatched to a suspicious persons call on Harry St. The subjects were located, and were just out walking their dog.

Cpt. Wooldridge was dispatched to an alarm call in the 8000 block of Hwy 77. It was discovered the back door was left unsecured. The owners were contacted and responded to secure the door.

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to a reckless driver on FM 696E, entering Lexington. The vehicle was located and, after further investigation, it was found the driver did not have any issue that would prevent him from operating a motor vehicle safely. The driver was released at the scene.

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to the 800 block of 10th St. in reference to a disturbance call. The disturbance was determined to be verbal only and the parties involved were separated for the evening. A report was written on the incident.

October 12, 2012

Officer Jirasek detained a subject at the CEFCO Store and, after an investigation, found that Jarred Brown had an outstanding warrant out of Jack County. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Lee County Jail.

October 13, 2012

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to the 600 block of Burns St. in reference to a house being struck by lightning. After speaking with the occupants, it was determined they were all ok.

Officer Jirasek assisted the Lee County Sheriff’s Office with a civil standby at the Lexington Police Department where subjects were exchanging kids for a visitation.

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to the 700 block of 5th St. in reference to a domestic disturbance call. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a verbal only disturbance, and one party left the residence to avoid further conflict.

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to an alarm call at Petersons store. When he arrived, he found all doors secure. The owner was contacted.

October 14, 2012

Officer Nurse assisted the Lexington E.M.S. in the 700 block of 5th St in reference to a subject who stated she had been assaulted by her husband. The subject was transported to the hospital in LaGrange. After an investigation into the assault, it was later found her injuries were self-inflicted.

October 15, 2012

Officer Nurse arrived at a residence in the 800 block of Yegua St. where Dorothy Howard was issued a citation for theft under $50 dollars and a Criminal trespass warning for an incident that occurred at the Dollar Store.

Officer Nurse was dispatched to the 700 block of 5th St. in reference to an attempted suicide. The female subject was transported by E.M.S. to the Rockdale hospital for treatment and mental evaluation.

October 16, 2012

Officer Vivas was dispatched to the 8900 block of Hwy 77 in reference to a theft of jewelry call. This investigation continues.

October 17, 2012

Cpt Wooldridge arrested Ziad Kussad on a warrant for False Report to a Peace office after Kussad reported that his house had been burglarized and two firearms were stolen. After an investigation it was found that Kussad had pawned one of the firearms he reported stolen.

October 18, 2012

Chief Yarbrough and Cpt Wooldridge submitted cases to the Lee County Grand Jury in Giddings. Mary Atkins was indicted on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Samuel Scoggins was indicted on two counts of Assault with Injury.

Chief Yarbrough responded to a verbal disturbance call on Main St. Both parties involved were advised to stop the arguing and to go their separate ways.

Officer Jirasek assisted Round Rock Police Dept in reference to a missing person. The subject was located out in the County.

October 20, 2012

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to the 700 block of 5th St. in reference to a welfare check. Contact was made with the subject, who was found to be ok.
