Lady Eagles are District Champs!

Lexington defeated Rosebud- Lott Saturday afternoon to capture the District 22AA volleyball championship. The Lady Eagles came out with a vengeance defeating the Lady Cougars 25-4 in the first game. The next two games were a little more competitive at 25-11 and 25-12. With the three-game sweep, the Lady Eagles own a two-game lead, with one game to play in order to qualify for the state playoffs. As a result of being the district champion, Lexington will receive a first round bye in the state playoffs.

The Lady Eagle Freshmen won in two games 25-7, 25-23.

The JV Lady Eagles lost in three games .25- 23 17-25 26-28.

Here are the varsity stats for the championship clinching contest: Johna Alford- 7 kills, 1 assist, 2 digs, 3 blocks, 5 aces; Madeline Morton- 1 dig; Brittany Nickel- 3 assists; Kristen Boettcher- 3 kills; Madi Bexley- 5 digs, 1 ace; Karsen Ross- 1 kill, 16 assists, 4 digs, 1 block; Karley Wren- 6 kills, 3 digs; Aleece Moerbe- 4 kills, 6 digs, 1 block, 10 aces; and Meghann Wrinkle- 3 kills, 1 assist, 1 ace.
