Halloween on the Square
For the second year in a row, businesses, organizations and individuals will be setting up their Halloween Trick or Treat stations on the Square in downtown Lexington. In addition to that, two neighborhoods in Lexington will be closed to traffic, as has been the case for the past several years. North and Terrace Streets, behind Prosperity Bank will be closed to traffic. Hale Street between First and Third Streets will also be closed.
Trick or Treaters will be treated to S’mores “at the bon fire” on Third Street. A Harry Potter Halloween will be enjoyed at 40 Acre Wood in downtown Lexington. Ghost stories will be told on the Square; a spook house will be set up at Lexington Auto Repair downtown, and hot dogs and soda will be available outside the Chamber of Commerce office.
To ensure a safe trick or treat experience for all the children, Main Street will be barricaded to prevent vehicles from entering that area during the evening.
