The Giddings Public Library is proud to announce the arrival of some very interesting non-fiction books. Come by the library and check them out.

African American Almanac: 400 Years of Triumph, Courage and Excellence by Lean’tin Bracks, is a comprehensive reference work that covers the historical contributions, accomplishments, and current status of professional fields, from entertainment to politics.

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to The Acid Reflux Diet by Maria A. Bella, MS, RD, CDN is aimed at those who suffer from acid reflux, as well as the dieticians and medical professionals who treat them. This guide offers complete meal plans and over one hundred twenty recipes that won’t aggravate or disrupt the PH balance of those with the condition. The Pressure Cooker Cookbook by Tori Ritchie contains tempting dishes with over 40 recipes ranging from soups and stews, to beans and grains, to meats and poultry, to fresh vegetables.

The Complete Guide to Nature Photography by Sean Arbabi guides amateur photographers through every stage of shooting landscapes, close-ups, and animal portraits, using the most-up-todate techniques and technology. The Real Romney by Michael Kranish delves searchingly into the psyche of a complex man now at his most critical juncture – the private Romney who few people see.

The Giddings Public Library has new large print books in from another library. These are some new books, so get them before they are all checked out. If you have ever read one, you will want to read them all.

The Library is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
