The two teams battled with long volleys before Lexington would eventually get the point in most cases. Karley Wren and Aleece Moerbe had outstanding games in the kill department. Madison Bexley had her best night of the year as she dug 21 kills attempts, a couple of them were rockets she handled. Johna Alford had her usual solid game and Karsen Ross was outstanding putting up 33 assists for her teammates.

The score of the first game was 25-13 but it was much closer than the score indicated as both teams hustled wildly hit balls. Both teams set up kill attempts but there were digs from both sides. Karley Wren ended game 1 with a kill.

Game two went to Rogers 25-27 as the twp teams battled each other fiercely determining a winner. Both teams had a chance to win but Rogers prevailed.

Lexington won game three by the score of 25-13. This game was one of the best you will ever see. Lexington won by a wide score but the two teams played some outstanding ball. There were hard hit kills by both teams. There were digs of hits that rocketed down but intercepted by a strategically placed defender. With the score 21-13, Wren served four straight points, two of them were aces.

Lexington played outstanding ball in the fourth game of the night as they earned the win 25-17 to end the match. Rogers battled but the Lady Eagles were more than up to their efforts. The score was closer in this game but there were more mistakes in this game than in the previous games. Aleece Moerbe ended the game and match with a dink kill just over the finger tips of the Rogers blockers at the net.

Coach Amanda Player said, “The girls played lights out for this match against Rogers. We came in knowing what to expect and stayed pretty fired up for most of our match with them. This is a win we definitely needed!”

Lexington is now 9-1 in district play and 22-5 for the season.
