Fayette County Country Music Club

The Fayette County Country Music Club will host their monthly Opry on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the KC Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7:30 P.M. and the doors will open at 5:30 P.M.

SCOTTY DECKER began playing lead guitar and singing with The Spades at the age of 16. In 1962 he joined the band “The Moods” playing bass, piano and singing. He recorded “High School Dance” with The Moods which went to #9 on the Texas records charts. In 1964 he played the drums for Cecil Moore on his recording of “Diamond Back”. In 1965 he formed a band called The Sands and played on Bourbon Street and toured 16 states. From 1972-1982 he formed a band called The Second Alarms who backed up such notables as Ray Clark, Grandpa Jones, The Haggar Twins and Buck Owens. The group also opened for well known performers Webb Pierce, Kenny Price, Stonewall Jackson, and Justin Tubb. He now resides just outside of Schulenburg and performs in the area with a group called Scotty Decker and Family.

ED GARY - is a musician/singer/ songwriter and movie actor with world wide releases in music and film. He is a native Tennesseean but now lives in Phoenix, Arizona and is still working 300 plus days a year. He first started singing at the age of three in his father’s church in Memphis, Tennessee. His father and mother were both ministers and gospel singers. Ed has been an actor for many years, appearing in over 45 movies and countless TV shows and 16 independent Country Chart number one records. The last two were from his 2009 CD “Old Country’s Back In Town”.

KRISTI LYNN PRUETT. is 20 years old from Rockdale, Texas. She has been singing since she was a young girl, and tried out for American Idol when she was 16 years old. Her singing career has really kicked off this past year when she auditioned for a band in the Galveston area, and since then has been singing all over Texas. She currently works as a hair stylist in the College Station area, and has a wonderful, loving, supportive family who are always at her side. She states that she truly would not be where she is today without the good Lord above and that he blessed her with this voice for a reason, and she is going to do whatever it takes to pursue it.
