Lady Eagles Drill Academy

Maintain Perfect District Record

Lexington traveled to Academy Tuesday night to defeat the Lady Bees in three games 25-13, 25-17, 26-24 to remain unbeaten in District 22-2A . The Lady Eagles are now 17-4 for the season and 4- 0 in district play.

Offensively, Johna Alford led the kill parade with 14 smackdowns that the Bees were unable to dig. Karsen Ross, again, was excellent in putting up 25 assists for her teammates, to hammer at Academy. Aleece Moerbe and Karley Wren had six and five kills respectively.

Defensively, Karley Wren led the Lady Eagles with 10 digs of Academy scoring attempts. Aleece Moerbe and Meghann Wrinkle were also big in the dig department, with six each.

These are the entire team stats for the win: Johna Alford- 14 kills, 2 digs, 1 ace; Madeline Morton- 2 kills, 1 assist, 2 blocks; Madi Bexley- 5 digs; Karsen Ross- 1 kill, 25 assists, 2 aces; Karley Wren- 5 kills, 10 digs, 1 block; Aleece Moerbe- 6 kills, 6 digs, 1 block, 3 aces; and Meghann Wrinkle- 1 kill, 6 digs, 1 block.

The Lady Eagle Freshmen won in three: 21-25, 25-23, 25-23. The JV lost in two games 18-25, 20-25.
