Sirloin Stroganoff

Looking for a main dish that can be prepared with a variety of ingredients and will suit every taste and budget? The choices you have to pick from are many, such as, strips of sirloin, ground beef, chicken livers, shrimp or even mushrooms. Call it Stroganoff!

½ cup minced onion
¼ cup butter, melted
1 small carton fresh mushrooms
1 ½ lbs boneless sirloin steak, cut into ½ inch strips
1 (10oz.) can beef consommé
1/3 cup flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 (8oz.) carton sour cream
Minced fresh parsley
Hot cooked noodles

Sauté onion in butter 3-5 minutes or until transparent, Stir in mushrooms, add beef, and cook until browned. Add next ingredients to beef mixture, stirring well. Reduce heat; simmer 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream; cook over low heat just until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with parsley and serve over noodles.
