Eagle JV Football

Lexington answered with 6 points, but failed to convert the PAT. The Lions came back with another long run for 6 and converted again, making the score 16-6. Walt Green scored for the Eagles on a pass from Berto Lara and the Eagles tacked on 2. Both teams took the ball in for TD’s again, making the score 22-24. Just before the half, the Eagles recovered a fumble and ran it in for a halftime lead of 30- 24.

The second half began with a strong offensive run by Tyler Page. Berto Lara ran the ball in for a score. The Eagles added the 2 point conversion to take a 38-24 lead. Franklin had a long run called back. A Franklin runner was dropped for a big loss by Hunter Wilson.

After holding Franklin scoreless in the third quarter, Lexington started the fourth quarter, leading by 12 points.

The Eagles dominated the rest of the game, as Tyler Page and Berto Lara teamed up offensively. That included some crucial 4th down yardage.

The Eagles tacked on one last touchdown to make the final score Lexington JV 44 Franklin JV 30.

Outstanding defensive tackles were made by Samuel Meza, Berto Lara, Wesley Carver, Hunter Wilson and Cameron Parker.
