Rotary Scholarship Golf Tourney

Rise early on September 20th and join the 8:30 A.M. golfers that will be teeing off for the Four Person Scramble at the Rotary Scholarship Golf Tournament at the Giddings Municipal Golf Course. Should the 8:30 AM tee off time not be convenient for you, the second tee off will be held after lunch at 1:30 P.M.

The official registration will begin at 7:30 on the morning of the tournament. The registration fee includes golf, cart, lunch, and beverages. To make the game more interesting, two Mulligans per player, at a cost of $5.00, will be allowed each golfer. A “Hole in One,” the “Longest Drive,” and the “Longest Putt” will have special rewards.

A fried fish lunch, with all the good trimmings that go with it, will be served at 12:00 noon for golfers, visitors and Rotarians. For non-players, the noon meal cost is $9.50. For additional information, you may call Mark Johnson at 979- 540-9527 or Wayne Galipp at 979- 542-7282.

This is the Seventh Annual Golf Tournament sponsored by The Rotary Club of Giddings. All proceeds are designated for Scholarships for graduating High School Seniors in Lee County.

Last year the Rotary Club was able to give eight Scholarships, which is always a help to the students beginning their college education. Educated students can attain more in life in the way of better jobs and a better life style.
