Lexington will travel to Franklin Friday night for their first road game of the year. The Lions were last defeated by the Eagles in the Regional semifinals last season. The Lions return three offensive and seven defensive starters.

Two of the returnees are tailback Darius Floyd and fullback Chris Morrow. In the playoff game, Lexington stepped up the defense, holding Floyd to minus four yards on 24 totes. Morrow was held to 66 yards on 17 carries in the same game. Lexington won the rematch 23-13. Franklin was 10-3 last year with two of the losses to Lexington and the other to Rogers.

In redistricting, the Lions were moved up to 2A-Division I. Franklin defeated Riesel 60-0 last week. In the first game of the season, they defeated Robertson County rival Hearne 42-19. Expect the Lions to operate from the wing-T offense, and an odd man defensive front, with the interior three slanting in some direction each play.
