Edna C. Reynolds

March 12, 1917 - September 7, 2012

Edna was born on March 12, 1917 in Lee County, the daughter of Tomie and Ruby (Rhodes) Cherry. She and Cecil F. Reynolds were married on December 5, 1933 in Caldwell, TX. She has lived in Lexington for the past 17 years, moving from Kingwood, TX.

Mrs. Reynolds was a manager for McEvoy Credit Union in Houston for 28 years. She was a member of the Lexington United Methodist church, the Lexington Lions Club, the Lexington Senior Citizens, all in Lexington, TX, and the ABWA of Houston. She enjoyed working with her ceramics and porcelain dolls. Edna passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 in the Scott & White hospital in Temple.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 69 years Cecil F. Reynolds on January 12, 2003; son, Clayton Reynolds and 2 sisters, Odie Mullins and Altha Bartay.

Survivors include her son, Cecil Reynolds II of Houston; daughter, Cherry Stover of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, Dempsey Stover, Teri Munn, Stacey Stover, Jason Reynolds, Angel Elliot, Alison Hardway and Melody Genzel; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 greatgreat grandchildren.

Graveside services for Edna C. Reynolds, age 95 of Lexington, were held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Lexington Cemetery, sith Pastor Lance Richards of the Lexington United Methodist Church officiating.
