Five Sentenced in District Court
Five people were sentenced recently, in the Lee County District court with the Honorable Terry Flenniken presiding. On August 30, three men were sentenced for various crimes ranging from theft to fraudulent use of identification. On September 6, two more were sentenced for criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Toby Wayne Davis, 35 of Giddings, was given six years probation and ordered to pay a total of $14,111.75 in fines, court costs, fees and restitution for theft ($20,000-$100,000). He was ordered to successfully complete a substance abuse treatment program, as well.
Gregory Kelly Hazard, 43 of Lexington, was given two years probation for assault – family violence. He was ordered to pay a total of $2,488 in fines, court costs and fees. He was also ordered to complete parenting classes.
Ernesto Resendiz, 25 of Paige, was also given two years probation, and ordered to pay a total of $2,788 in fines, fees and court costs, for criminal attempt – fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, less than five items. The Judge ordered him to perform 100 hours of community service restitution.
Travis O’Neal Wolridge, 23 of Giddings, was sentenced for criminal mischief - $1,500 to $20,000. He saw his original sentence revoked and he was ordered to spend one year in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Jail Facility. He was also ordered to pay all costs previously assessed, plus $400 for his court appointed attorney on revocation matters.
Shaun Michael Houck, 17 of Galveston, was given two years probation for criminal attempt – unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was fined a total of $4,538 in court costs, fees and restitution. He was also ordered to perform 150 hours of community service restitution.
