City Sales Tax Figures Up Substantially

Sales tax allocations from the State Comptroller showed a 57.87% increase for Lexington last week. Mayor Robert Willrich reported receiving $27,573.01, $9,191 of which goes to the Lexington Economic Development Corporation. Giddings received 2.82% more over the same period last year. As a whole, the County’s sales tax allocations are up 17.73% for the year.

Also reported by Mayor Willrich for the July 2012 Revenue Report was $6,987.47 in Municipal Court Revenue.
