Regular Meeting Minutes

The Lexington City Council met in a regular meeting on Wednesday, August 8th, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Woodson Community Center, 631 N. Rockdale, Lexington, Texas.

Present were Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr., Councilpersons Opal Lewis, Tim Brown, Greg Langehennig, Charlotte Hooper, Chris Billings and City Attorney Tim Kleinschmidt.

Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. brought the meeting to order and welcomed the guest.

3. Citizen Input.

4. Tim Brown made the motion to approve the minutes for the meetings of July 11th and 17th, 2012. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

5. Tim Brown made the motion to approve paying bills for the month of July 2012. Greg Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

6. Tim Brown made the motion to table issues on Hilliard Street until it can be looked into further. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

7. Tim Brown made the motion to give Mayor the authority to sign LAI Garbage Contract. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

8. Tim Brown made the motion to approve the collection contract with Lee County Tax Assessor Collector. Charlotte Hooper seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

9. Tim Brown made the motion to approve the Inter-local Agreement between Lee County, City of Lexington and Lexington EDC. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

10. Tim Brown made the motion to sell city pole digger truck and street sweeper. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

11.Tim Brown made the motion to approve financial report. Greg Langehennig seconded the motion. Vote 5 for. Tim Brown made the motion to approve the budget report. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for. Tim Brown made the motion to approve the police report. Opal Lewis seconded the motion. Vote 5 for.

12. Opal Lewis made the motion to adjourn. Tim Brown seconded the motion. Vote 5 for. Adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
