Go Green to Create 76 Jobs
A company has come up with a profitable solution to assist Bastrop County property owners recovering from the 2011 wildfires and the drought.
Go Green International, Inc. plans to invest $18 million in land, plant and equipment, and to hire about 76 full-time employees for a facility in Bastrop County that recycles trees into biomass fuel.
The company recently signed a 20-year lease with Bastrop Independent School District for 80 raw acres along Highway 290 in Paige to build a biofuel plant, which should start operation in early 2013.
Go Green will eliminate the burden of removing burned trees off the people whose property was devastated by the wildfires, and create jobs for the area.
