Community members attended a reception last Friday evening where Justice of the Peace Nick Hester and County Constable Buster Dussetschleger were honored for their years of service to the area.

Judge Nick Hester retired on July 31 after serving for 18 years as the Justice of the Peace of Precinct 3 and the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Lexington.

Buster Dussetschleger, who will continue to serve the County until December 31 of this year, was honored for his 34 years of service as one of the County’s elected officials. Buster was first elected to the Constable position of Precinct 3 in 1981. Before that, he was the City Marshall for Lexington.

The men were presented with gifts of appreciation and greeted by Sheriff Rodney Meyer, Mayor Robert Willrich, Sr. and other elected officials, family members and friends at the Woodson Community Building last Friday evening.
