The Giddings Public Library has a number of good books about travel. Fodor’s Germany by Leonie Adeane provides information on accommodations, restaurants, walking and driving tours, sightseeing, transportation, and shopping. Fodor’s 2012 Arizona And The Grand Canyon by Jess Moss and Rachel Klein describes points of interest in each region of Arizona and recommends restaurants, hotels, and activities.

Fodor’s 2012 Ireland by Robert Fisher provides information for travelers to Ireland, describing transportation, accommodations, restaurants, sightseeing, amusements, landmarks, and shopping throughout the island. Fodor’s Alaska Ports Of Call by Kelly Kealy tells how to select an Alaskan cruise, suggests tours at each port of call, and provides information on cruise ships and itineraries. Foder’s 2012 California by Matthew Lombardi and Teresa Maria Hart includes information on hotels and resorts, restaurants, beaches, walking and driving tours, nighttime entertainment, shopping, and sights of interest.

Fodor’s 2012 England by Linda Cabasin provides a full-color guide to make your trip to England unforgettable with illustrated features, 77 maps, and 350 photos.

The Blink Of An Eye by William S. Cohen is America’s worst nightmare: a nuclear bomb destroys a major city. National security advisor Sean Falcone is charged with identifying the attackers. A Woman Without Lies by Elizabeth Lowell, also in CD and large type, is about stained glass artist Angel. She is suffering a tremendous loss after the death of her lover and finds a second chance of romance with Hawk.

The Library is open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m .tunil 6 p.m. and from 10 until 1 on Saturdays.
