Just a Thought.......

Rev. DaveFischer

My Lexington learning continues. And what I am coming to understand is the way that this community supports one another.

Recently, I received another e-mail asking for support for a benefit for a family in need. This, just after I received a notification that friends were gathering funds for another family who had been overwhelmed by unexpected funeral expenses.

These are just two examples of your continuing love and care for neighbors and friends. It is what makes a hometown a “home” town.

Being a pastor, I can supply the scriptural reference for such behavior. Jesus said it, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Your commitment to one another in times of difficulty shows that you have read and understand these words. It makes me glad that I have come to know you and have the privilege of preaching in this place.

By the way, if you do not have a church home, we would welcome you at ours. We are open every weekend.
