Dorothy D. Booth
Dorothy (Tucker) Booth was born on October 7, 1921 in Quay, Oklahoma to Benton H. & Beaula Mae (Campian) Tucker. She attended Eastern Oklahoma College and married Gordon Booth in 1954 in Santa Monica, California. Dorothy was a retired editor and publisher and had been employed by KLRN, Gulf Publishing and Lear Jet. She held a Texas Real Estate License and enjoyed reading, doing puzzle books, watching boxing, visiting with family and traveling in Mexico with Dick.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon Booth; two brothers, Roy Tucker and Benton Tucker and a nephew, Robert “Bob” Williams.
She is survived by her best & forever friend, Dick; daughter Nancy Kelln Wyllie & husband, Richard Wyllie; son, T. Michael Booth & wife, Bonnie Bock Booth; grandchildren, Gina Marie Mackey & Michael Clark, Sylvia Anne Mackey, Shannon & Dr. Darden Hervey, Sean Booth & Brittani Pietsch and Michael Bock; nine great grandchildren; niece, Linda Sue Williams and a nephew, John Mark Goforth.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with James Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
Mrs. Booth passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at her home in Giddings.
