Clyde “Beck” Olive Bexley Jr.
Beck was born and raised in Lexington and spent his entire life there. He began working at the Lexington Auction Barn when he was 9 years old and from that point on, cattle were his life. Beck was a true cattleman in every sense of the word. His lifelong passion was being a cattle dealer (buying, selling, trading). He had a keen eye and was an excellent judge of livestock.
As a young man, Beck was a gifted athlete and an accomplished calf roper. He had a quick wit and was never without a one-liner response.
Beck is survived by his ex-wife, Margaret Ann Bexley; three children, Keith and wife, Cindy of Lexington, Kerry and wife, Kim of Lexington, and Kendra and husband, Kelly Smart of Katy; nine grandchildren, Jordan Bexley and fiancee, Jaclyn Dale, Julian Bexley, Madison Bexley, Amanda Bexley, Hailey and husband, Blane Rodgers, Larissa Abshire, Allyson Abshire, Colby Bexley and Adelyn Smart; four great-grandchildren, Hayden Bexley, Hudson Bexley, Tyner Bexley, and Brantlee Rodgers; as well as by a number of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Julia Bexley, brother, Bob Bexley, and grandson, Sloan Bexley.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 25th at Lexington United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at Lexington Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dwain Turner, Verlin Callahan, Jamie Woodward, Kenny Mingus, Jeff Brown, Jordan Bexley, Julian Bexley, and Colby Bexley.
