Three People Sent to Jail
Three people were sentenced to jail time during the 21st Judicial District Court of Lee County held on Thursday, July 19. One person was granted probation for his offense.
Shawn Vasquez, 17 of Austin, was sentenced to three three-year terms in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for Assault on a Public Servant, original count, count one and count two. He was ordered to pay $788 in court costs and fees for each of the offenses.
Derrick Anthony Masin, 23 of Killeen, was sentenced to two years confinement in the TDCJ for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. His original sentence was revoked and he was ordered to pay $400 for his court appointed attorney on revocation matters, in addition to the costs previously assessed.
Oscar Carl Mason, 48 of Giddings, was sentenced to 270 days confinement in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for burglary of a building. He was ordered to pay a total of $1,188 for court costs, fees and restitution.
David Lee Toney, 47 of Ledbetter, was sentenced to five years in the TDCJ, probated five years, for credit card or debit card abuse of elderly individual. He was ordered to pay a total of $3,878 in fines, court costs, fees and restitution and to perform 40 hours of community service.
