The team brought back two National titles (Adult colorguard, and the Challanged Riders), two reserve titles (Adult colorguard, and 8 man select team). The team carried fire torches, an old Lee County tradition. Two third place awards were received (Youth Intermediate and Adult Youth Mix Quad Theme.)ยท Fourth place was won in Rodeo Drill and the Fun Drill. The Tornados placed higher than any other Texas team in the Rodeo Division. The Fun Drill consisted of six maneuvers, added to three of the Tornados’ maneuvers, which the participants learned in one night without practicing on horseback. The team then performed the Fun Drill on Thursday evening. One fifth place was won on a youth quad drill. The Texas Tornados Team members consist of 17 youth riders under the age of 16, along with 5 young adults and 5 parents that ride and help.
