Samuel Harold Wesson
Samuel Harold Wesson was born April 29, 1964 in Austin, Texas and died accidently Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the age of 48, of carbon monoxide poisoning. Sammy was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and his favorite hymn was “How Great Thou Art”.
He is survived by his parents, Ginny Lynn and Martin T. Schautschick of Lexington, his son, Samuel Martin “Marty” Wesson of Lexington, daughters, Ashley Wesson of Rockdale and Kaylyn Wesson of Austin, granddaughter, Marlie Painter of Rockdale, sisters, Katherine and husband Robert Rekieta of Bremond, Keeley Wesson and Sunnye Boring of Austin; brothers, Kelly Ryan Wallace and Edwin Laird Wesson and wife Mandy all of Austin, plus numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Sammy was Mr. Clyde Hallmark’s (Pappo’s) special “Shorty Boy”.
Sammy was well liked, had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. He had a great gift with animals of all types. In his younger days, he lived and breathed race horses. He was a jockey, horse trainer, a certified Farrier and a furniture refinisher. At the time of his death, he had a variety of well cared for dogs, lizards, rabbits, raccoons, roosters and chickens. In addition to English, he was fluent in Spanish and knew sign language.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Danny Mitchell officiating. Honoring his memory by making a donation to the Hope Animal Rescue, 1309 S. Market, Hearne, Texas 77859 (281) 387-6532 would be greatly appreciated by him.
Heaven will have more games and laughter now that Sammy’s there.
