Henrietta White (Kolacek) Howard

May 30, 1931 – June 29, 2012

Henrietta White (Kolacek) Howard, 81, passed away at Regency Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Floresville, Texas on June 29, 2012.

She was born at Three Oaks, Texas on May 30, 1931 to Carl and Matilda Fischer White. She was married to Max Kolacek from September 26, 1948 until his death in 1978. She and Max raised five children while living in Dewees, Mathis, Pleasanton, George West and Cotulla.

Henrietta was later married to James C. Howard on August 17, 1985, and they lived in Carrizo Springs until his death in 1997.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her brother, William White, of Brownwood; sister Stella Marie White McDermett of Sherman; brothers-in-law, Caroll Mosely of Floresville, O.J. Kassaeth of San Antonio; and step-daughter Sherry Reddick of La Pryor.

Henrietta is survived by her children, Max Jr. and Leigh Kolacek of Lexington, Patricia and Ron Gumm of Houma, Louisiana, Beverly Hood of Somerset, Lillie Mae Bass of Houma, Louisiana, and Susan and Jim Payne of Quihi.

She is also survived by her twin sister, Mary Etta Mosely, and sister, Edna Mae and husband, Elroy Stahl, all of Floresville; Marcella Kassaeth of San Antonio, brother-in-law, Jim McDermett of Sherman; step-children Gregg and Michelle Howard of Carrizo Springs, Kenneth and Pat Howard of Buda and Brooks and Diane Howard of Leon Springs.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 12 stepgrandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren, 2 step-greatgrandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held on July 2, 2012 at Carrizo Springs Church of Christ and at the Cotulla Church of Christ. Burial followed at the Cotulla Cemetery.

Proudly serving as pallbearers were her grandchildren, represented by Michael Kolacek, Carl Kolacek, John Kolacek, Carl Ray Payne, Elizabeth Hansen and Bonnie Kolacek.
