Lexington Police Report

June 8, 2012

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of N Rockdale St. where a subject was attempting to retrieve a vehicle. After further investigation, it was discovered the subject had permission to retrieve the vehicle

Officer Jirasek met with subject at the Auction Barn in reference to close patrol to deter criminal mischief at the Auction Barn

Officer Jirasek located a subject urinating in public in the 600 block of Main St. Appropriate actions were taken.

June 9, 2012

Officer Jirasek responded to an animal complaint in the 900 block of 6th St. A dog was under the house. Upon officer’s arrival the dog ran out from under the house and left the property and was not located again.

Officer Jirasek spoke with a subject in reference to another subject removing metal from a county dumpster on McDade St. The subject informed the officer that the subject removing the metal had permission to do so.

Officer Jirasek made contact with an irate subject at the Cefco gas station. Subject was kicking and throwing objects. Subject stated he was having a bad day. After further investigation, the subject was identified and allowed to leave with no further incidents.

Cpl Wooldridge was dispatched to a possible intoxicated driver coming into the city, southbound on Hwy 77. The officer located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. During the traffic stop it was determined the driver was not intoxicated, but was distracted by something in his vehicle.

Cpl Wooldridge was flagged down by a subject who stated the stop sign at Rockdale St and Hwy 77 had been turned around and that the stop sign now faced Hwy 77. Upon arrival, the officer observed vehicles actually stopping for the stop sign on the highway, which was a major safety hazard. With help from an off duty city employee, Officer Wooldridge turned the sign back to its correct position, then cleared the scene.

June 10, 2012

Officer Nurse was dispatched to a disturbance in the 800 block of Yegua St. The officer made contact with both subjects involved. After further investigation, one subject left the scene so that there would be no further problems.

Officer Nurse was dispatched to South Rockdale St. in reference to a loose horse running in the roadway. A subject, who lived nearby, stated he would hold the horse at his residence until the owner was located. The owner was eventually located.

June 11, 2012

Officer Nurse responded to a subject in the 700 block of Rockdale St, who was concerned about an elderly subject driving her vehicle.

Officer Nurse recovered a chair in the 200 block of Rockdale St. that belonged to the City of Lexington.

Officer Nurse responded to two animal complaints.

Cpl Wooldridge responded to an animal abuse call on Yegua St. The complaint was unfounded.

June 12, 2012

Officer Nurse provided special security for a neighborhood meeting at the Woodson Building.

Officer Nurse provided traffic control for city workers as they were repairing electrical lines.

June 14, 2012

Cpl Wooldridge received a call from Giddings PD to locate a subject that was possibly involved in a hit and run that occurred in Giddings. The subject was located in the 300 block of Ave. G and informed to contact Giddings PD.

June 15, 2012

Cpl Wooldridge took a walk-in report of a burglary of a motor vehicle that occurred in the 500 block of 9th St.

Officer Jirasek and Cpl Wooldridge observed a vehicle have a blowout on Hwy 77, which started a grass fire at the corner of Hwy 77 North and Rockdale St. The Fire Dept was called and the fire was put out.

Officer Jirasek assisted the Lee County Sheriff’s Dept. to locate a vehicle accident in the area of Shady Circle and Hwy 77. The officer was unable to locate.

Officer Jirasek was dispatched to a barking dog. The complainant stated her dog was barking at something. The officer checked the area and located a deer in complainant’s yard.

June 16, 2012

Officer Nurse was dispatched to the 1000 block of Cherry St in reference to a Criminal Mischief report.

June 17, 2012

Officer Jirasek was flagged down at the corner of 9th and Caldwell St. where a subject claimed the Police were harassing him. An information report was written.
