Hulda Louise Arceneaux
She was born on March 3, 1920 in Fedor, Texas to Alvin Jatzlau and Louise Lehman Jatzlau. Hulda was baptized on March 21, 1921 and confirmed on April 14, 1935, both at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fedor. She also received her education at Trinity Lutheran’s school. Over the years, she was employed by Droemer Industries and at Blue Moon Truckstop. She loved BBQ cookoffs, taking care of animals, fishing, and watching football.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by a son, Raymond Jatzlau, by brothers, Ervin Jatzlau, Walter Jatzlau, Adolph Jatzlau, Herbert Jatzlau, and Marvin Jatzlau, and by sisters, Elsie Lay, Ruby Market, and Bernice Walters.
Ms. Arceneaux is survived by a brother, Ludwig Jatzlau of San Antonio, by a sister, Ernie Rodgers of Houston, and by a sister-in-law, Verna Mae Jatzlau of Houston, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins,and beloved family and friends.
Funeral services were held at St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington on Saturday, June 16, 2012, with interment following at Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, June 15 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with the family receiving visitors late that evening.
