Giddings Library News Corner

by Judy Belyeu

Sit back and relax with a good book or magazine from the Giddings Public Library. Cat Telling Tales by Shirley Rousseau Murphy is about Joe Grey and his P.I. posse as they follow a trail that leads to a scam involving a group of shady real estate agents. Spiritual Solutions by Deepak Chopra is a groundbreaking book in which Chopra shows you how to expand your awareness, which is the key to the confusion and conflict we all face. A Feast For Crows by George R.R. Martin is his fourth book of his landmark saga. As a kingdom is torn asunder it finds itself at last on the brink of peace only to be launched on an even more terrifying course of destruction.

The Informationist by Taylor Stevens. Stevens introduces a great new heroine, Vanessa Michael Munroe. She doesn’t have to kick over a hornet’s nest to get attention, though her feral, take-no- prisoners attitude reflects the fire of Stieg Larson’s liseth Salander. Thriller fans will eagerly await the sequel to this high octave page turner.

Ruth Randell’s novel The Vault, a sequel to A Sight For Eyes, is a stunning climax to Rendell’s classic 1998 novel. Three Bodies, two dead, one living are entombed in an underground chamber beneath a picturesque London house. There are these and many more books available for your enjoyment at the Library.
