Kerry Bexley, owner of Snow’s BBQ, Pit Master Tootsie Tomanetz and Chef Roger Mooking Kerry Bexley, owner of Snow’s BBQ, Pit Master Tootsie Tomanetz and Chef Roger Mooking A popular chef and television personality was at Snow’s BBQ in Lexington last Friday night and Saturday morning to film a segment that will be featured on his new show, Man, Fire, Food, which will air on The Cooking Channel next September.

Roger Mooking and his filming crew arrived shortly after 7 p.m. Friday night to watch Kerry Bexley and his famed pit master, Tootsie Tomanetz, prepare for Saturday’s onslaught of barbecue fans. They stayed there all night in order to watch as Tootsie began the ritual of building the fire in the huge fire boxes that provide the main ingredient to Snow’s world renown fare – smoke, by fire.

Mooking’s new show will highlight foods that are prepared and, presented in some cases, with fire. Snow’s was his eighth stop, the fourth in Texas, which followed four other stops in the Carolinas.

Mooking is the host and cocreator of Everyday Exotic on The Cooking Channel, as well as Heat Seekers on Food Network.
