The Lexington City Council will meet in a Regular Meeting on Wednesday, June 13th, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Woodson Community Center, 631 N. Rockdale, Lexington, Texas.

The Agenda is as follows:

1. Call meeting to order.
2. Welcome guest.
3. Citizen input.
4. Approve the minutes for the following meetings – May
4th, 9th, 16th & 23rd.
5. Discuss and possible action to approve paying bills for
the month of May 2012.
6. Response from City Council on complaints from citizens
on Caldwell Street.
7. Sam Scoggins requested to respond to neighborhood
complaints on Caldwell Street.
8. Discuss and possible action to deny Atmos Energy
Rate Case. – Ken Fogle
9. Discuss and possible action to transfer ownership of
park land from EDC to the City in accordance with
resolution adopted by the City in April 2007. – Michael
Hess
10. Sonny Owen has requested to speak to City Council
about bid for garbage service.
11. Zoch.Net will be giving a presentation on internet
services they provide for future reference.
12. Discuss and possible action to adopt the Flood
Damage Prevention Ordinance.
13. Discuss and possible action to approve garbage
contract proposal that will be put in paper and be used for
bidding purposes.
14. Discuss and possible action to amend Chapter 2,
Section 3 of Administration Ordinance on return check
fees to read $30.00 for return checks in lieu of $25.00.
15. Discuss and possible action to amend Chapter 110,
Section 20 of the Utility Ordinance on changing time
extensions for payment to read, on or before the 8th day
of each month in lieu of the 4th day of each month.
16. Discuss and possible action to approve setting up
system to receive credit/debit payments for utility
payments and deposits.
17. Discuss and possible action to reorganize City Hall
office space to be more conducive to business activities.
18. Discuss and possible action on policy for the daily
use of city vehicles for city business excluding police and
fire department vehicles.
19. Per City Attorney’s request – City Council will
convene into Executive Session pursuant to Texas Local
Government Code Section 551.074 to discuss the
employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline
or dismissal of the police chief.
20. Per City Attorney’s request – City Council will
reconvene into Open Session pursuant to Texas Local
Government Code Section 551.074 to take action on the
employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline
or dismissal of the police chief.
21. Reports: A. Financial/Budget Reports – Pam Cox
B. Police Report – Captain Yarbrough
22. Adjourn.
Note: City Council may go into executive session on one
or more of the above agenda items, in accordance with the
Open Meeting Act, Government Code, Chapter 551.
