Harvey Monroe Franke
Harvey Monroe Franke was born on July 11, 1934 in Winchester, Texas to William Albert & Emilie Renate (Fritsche) Franke. He was baptized on July 15, 1934 in his own home by Rev. Louis Trinklein and was confirmed on April 10, 1949 at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Winchester by Rev. George Heinemeier. Harvey was united in marriage to Jeanette Pearson on October 3, 1954 by Rev. Walter Stricher at St. Michael Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Thomas, Timothy, Lynette, Jimmy and Linda. Harvey was a retired truck driver with Nutrena Feeds in Giddings and a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Winchester. He enjoyed fishing, grafting pecan trees and doing anything outdoors.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, William & Emilie Franke; his son, Jimmy David Franke; his brother, Aubrey Franke; father-in-law, Newton Froehlich and a brother-in-law, James Pearson.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Franke of Winchester; four children, Thomas & Kelly Franke of Winchester, Timothy Franke & Teresa of Conroe, Lynette & Edward Pampell of Loebau and Linda & Jon Adams of Winchester; ten grandchildren, Jason & Kim Pampell of Montgomery, Misty & Brian Spacek of Round Rock, Kasey Pampell of Loebau, Kali & Keith Montgomery of Bastrop, Andrew & Jillian Franke of Bryan, Jacob Franke of Winchester, Matthew Adams of Winchester, Michael Adams of Winchester, Briana Adams of Winchester and Logan & Tiffany Franke of Elgin; ten great grandchildren; brother, Larry & Judy Franke of Montgomery; mother-in-law, Dorothy Froehlich of Winchester; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Franke of Houston and Diane Pearson of La Grange; brother-in-law, Henry Pearson of Winchester, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Winchester with Rev. Paul Hartfield officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Jason Pampell, Andrew Franke, Jacob Franke, Michael Adams, Logan Franke, Matt Adams and Bruce Franke.
Memorials may be made to the St. Michael Lutheran Church Building Fund in Winchester.
