Jessica Parish Garners Conference Postseason Recognition With Concordia Softball Program
Sophomore Jessica Parish, a 2009 LHS graduate, was named to the American Southwest Conference All- West Division Second Team as a member of the Concordia University Texas softball team, which competes at the NCAA Division III level.
Parish, who transferred to Concordia from East Texas Baptist, landed on the second team as a utility player. She was used as a second baseman and designated hitter throughout the season and batted .330 with 30 hits, including a teambest eight doubles, and 14 RBI’s over 32 appearances and 29 starts. Parish, who led the team in two-baggers and was tied for a team best in RBI’s, also fell a single short of hitting for the cycle in an 8-2 win over Hardin- Simmons and was honored as the ASC West Division Hitter of the Week for her efforts.
