Giddings Library News Corner

The Giddings Public Library offers new large type books for our patrons. Diamond Bay by Linda Howard finds Rachael Jones getting involved with a wounded man who is washed up on shore and into Rachael’s life. This puts her life in danger for a man she does not even know but with whom she is quickly falling in love. The Fire In Ember by Di Ann Mills is a Christian historical fiction. John Timmons, a responsible rancher, saves a young woman from hanging and begins to let her into his heart. When she brings danger into his family, he fears that her past may destroy his ranch and his future.

Deadly Silence by Lindsay McKenna is a love story about Lieutenant Matt Sinclaire and the tragedy of losing his wife in a fire. His daughter is too traumatized to speak and he wonders if he can protect his daughter and the U.S. Forest Ranger Casey Cantrell when evil strikes again. Christmas At Timberwoods by Fern Michaels is about Heather Andrews, the security manager at a local shopping mall. She works with her boss, Lex, to stop Angela’s terrifying premonition of a bomb going off at Timberwoods. The Mistress by Susan Wiggs is about a penniless maid Kathleen O’Leary. She masquerades as a glamorous heiress and manages to meet Dylan Kennedy, Chicago’s most eligible bachelor. What she doesn’t know is that he has a secret he is hiding.

Several other large type books are: MacCallister: The Egle’s Legacy by William W. Johnstone; The Tale Of Castle Cottage by Susan Wittig Albert; Willow by Linda Lael Miller and The Lowman’s Christmas by Linda Lael Miller.

Bridge Classes will be starting Tuesday, September 11, 2012, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm for 7-8 weeks.
