Five People Sentenced
Five people were sentenced on May 24 in the 21st District Court of Lee County with the Honorable Reva Towslee-Corbett presiding.
Cruz Martin Molina, 18 of Columbus, Texas, was sentenced to eight years behind bars for failing to fulfill his obligation to register as a sex offender annually. He was also ordered to pay a total of $1,788 in fines, court costs and fees and also to register as a sex offender.
Camille Gonzales, 20 of Dime Box, was given three years probation for abandoning or endangering a child. She was ordered to pay a total of $1,538 in fines, court costs and fees and to complete parenting classes and submit to drug assessment and counseling.
Christopher Ray Clements, 19 of Bryan, was sentenced to 18 months probation, and ordered to pay $1,588 in fines, fees, restitution and court costs, for attempted possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, less than one gram. Clements was ordered to perform 150 hours of community service restitution and to submit to drug assessment and counseling.
Toby Wayne Davis, 35 of Giddings, was sentenced to ten years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for theft ($20,000 to $100,000). He was ordered to pay a total of $3,288 in fines, court costs and fees, in addition to $10,823.75 restitution.
David John Johnson, 23 of Lexington, was ordered to spend 180 days in the Lee County Law Enforcement Center for theft of property - $500 to $1,500. The Judge also ordered him to pay a total of $2,288 in court costs, fees and restitution.
