Lexington Police Report

May 15, 2012

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek assisted with escorting a wide load traveling down Rockdale St. in the City of Lexington.

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek took a walk-in complaint of Phone Harassment between juveniles. Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek made contact with the involved parties and spoke with the parents. The parents agreed to handle the matter themselves.

Officer Nurse made contact with a reckless driver on SHWY 77 and advised him of the complaint made and cautioned the driver.

Officer Nurse responded in the area of 9th and Caldwell St. referencing an animal noise complaint. The complainant was advising the roosters were crowing and disturbing his sleep.

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek responded to a suspicious person call in the area of Hilliard St. Contact was made with the complainant and it was determined the individuals who were being complained on were selling Home Security Systems.

Officer Nurse responded to a suspicious person call in the area of 9th and Caldwell St. It was reported by the complainant there was an unknown individual shining a light through their window. Officer Nurse investigated the situation and determined the individual shining the light was shining the light out of his bedroom window checking on his pet cats to make sure they were out of harm’s way.

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek responded to the Lexington High School to meet with complainant referencing an assault which occurred on campus. Contact was made with the complainant and Chief Mohr and Chief Mohr assisted the complainant with the assault case.

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek assisted Lee County Sheriff’s Office with obtaining information for a Harassment Case. All pertinent information was gathered and passed to Deputy Lyles with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

May 17, 2012

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek responded to a disabled vehicle in the area of FM112 and FM 696. Traffic control was conducted and the vehicle was safely removed from the roadway.

Officer Jirasek responded to a lost dog call in the area of 3rd St.

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek responded to a complaint from the City in reference to the illegal use of City Electricity in the area of FM 1624. Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek checked the area but were unable to see any violations at this time.

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Nurse responded to an illegal dumping call in the area of Yegua St. The person responsible for the illegal dumping was stopped on FM 696 E. and escorted back to the area of Yegua St. where a citation was issued.
