Ruby Selma Teinert

January 8, 1922 - May 16, 2012

Ruby Selma Amanda Teinert, of Dime Box, was born on January 8, 1922 in Loebau, Texas to Gehard Fritsche and the former Selma Nee Pampell. Ruby died at the age of 90 years, 4 months and 8 days on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Marks Medical Center, La Grange after a brief stay.

She was confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, Loebau in 1935. On September 23, 1940 Ruby married Traugott Teinert, also at Christ Lutheran Church. Their union was blessed through the years with four children, James, T.W. Jr., Mildred and Charles. Ruby was a homemaker who had many loves, such as her flowers, gardening, fishing, and all her cows, cat and dogs, chickens and kids.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Traugott Teinert of Dime Box, by sons, James Teinert and wife, Mary of Houston, T.W. Teinert, Jr. and wife, Linda of Houston, by daughter, Mildred Butler and husband, Charles of Dime Box and son, Charles Teinert of Dime Box. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brenda and Doug McGee of Houston, Mike and Jackie Butler of Spring, Paul and Patricia Teinert of New Ulm, Russell and Pattie Butler of Spring, Kimberley Ann Gest of Cypress, and Chad Teinert of Gause, by eleven great-grandchildren and by 3 great great-grandchildren. Ruby is also survived by 2 sisters, Lillie Kuehnle of Spring and Adelia Nimtz of Houston, as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.

Ruby was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Richard Fritsche, Ben Fritsche, Gilbert Fritsche, and Alton Fritsche and by 2 sisters, Ester Nimtz and Tillie Schramm.

Services were held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 2:00 P.M at St. John Lutheran Church in Dime Box with Pastor Craig Gabriel officiating.

Pallbearers were Michael Butler, Paul Teinert, Russell Butler, Chad Teinert, Halen Butler, Cole McGee, and Blaine Gest.

The family has requested memorials to be given to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund or to a charity of your choice.
