A candle is lit for each inductee, the light of which represents the character that distinguishes NHS members. Every year, the NHS of LHS hosts an Induction Ceremony that is meant to recognize those students whose scholastic performance, service, leadership and character sets them apart from others. This year’s ceremony was opened by the club president, Raimond French, who reminded the students and their family and friends in attendance the four qualities of NHS members. Vice President Zane Kleinschmidt, Karley Wren, Chelsey Iselt and Zach Rother all made presentations, explaining the specifics of those qualities.

New inductees were presented certificates of membership, and introduced to the attendees. The evening culminated with the recognition of the senior members, who will be graduating from LHS on June 2. Recognized were Raimond French, Donnie Havard, Will Holcomb, Vaughn Kassner, Lauren Johnston, Christina Komandosky, Cody Morgan, Kirsten Nadeau and Zachary Rother. NHS graduates received the highest honors Lexington High School has to offer and will also be recognized during the graduation ceremonies in June.
