Lexington Police Report

Cpt. Yarbrough and Officer Jirasek took a walk-in complaint of an Assault by Threat report at the Lexington Police Department. The complainant advised this incident took place in the 500 Blk of Main. A report was taken and an investigation is pending.

Cpt. Yarbrough, Officer Nurse, and Officer Jirasek responded to the 8000 Blk of SHWY 77 N on a Gas Drive off. Contact was made with the complainant and the violator. A Citation was issued for the gas amount owed and further actions will be taken through courts.

Cpt. Yarbrough assisted with a funeral procession traveling from the Catholic Church on 696 E to the Lexington Cemetery. Our prayers and condolence go out to the family.

Cpt. Yarbrough, Cpl. Wooldridge, Officer Nurse and Officer Jirasek attended a special session City Council Meeting where the City Council approved a new Police Officer Position, which will also assist with other duties, as needed, by the department. Officer Blake Jirasek, who was assigned to the Reserve Division, was hired as a fulltime Police Officer.

Cpt. Yarbrough responded in the area of 3rd and Rockdale St on a two car vehicle accident. The accident was investigated by Cpt. Yarbrough and no injuries were sustained as a result of the accident. Both vehicles sustained minimal damage and were able to be driven from the scene. A citation was issued to the driver at fault and all parties cleared the scene without further incident.

Cpt. Yarbrough and Cpl. Wooldridge responded to a one car vehicle rollover in the 1200 Blk of Rockdale St. at SHWY 77 N. The driver of the vehicle lost control while down shifting and turning from SHWY 77 N to Rockdale St. The driver was not injured, but the vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed by Lexington Auto Repair.
