Business and Citizens of the Year

Barbara and Kenny Mostyn Barbara and Kenny Mostyn The Lexington Chamber of Commerce announced recently Lexington Feed and Farm, owned by Michael and Diana Lerche, as the Business of the Year, and Kenny and Barbara Mostyn as Co- Citizens of the Year.

Diana Lerche said, “Lexington Feed and Farm has truly grown into a family affair. After we purchased the old Weiser Feed Store in 1999, we wanted to make sure the community could find everything from rain boots for the entire family, to organic gardening supplies, and, of course, the usual feed and animal health products for all farm animals, including pets. Herbert, Michael’s brother, joined us after retiring from the State School, and our children, Krista, Barrett, Eli and Emmett, are often seen helping when they can.”

Kenny and Barbara Mostyn are life-long residents of Lexington. There are few lives in Lexington that this couple has not touched. Barbara has worked at the school for 20+ years and has tutored hundreds. Many would not be where they are today without her caring and guidance. Barbara also served as the High School tennis coach, with Kenny right by her side.

Diana and Michael Lerche Diana and Michael Lerche Kenny is a retiree of TXU and is currently working with many in our local community through his job with Hotze Runkle law firm.

These two help where ever they are needed, whether that is comforting a family in need, driving someone to appointments, or tutoring for a test. If they see help is needed, Barbara and Kenny are quick to respond, always with words of encouragement and kindness. Their compassion and support of their community makes them the type of people that makes Lexington the great town it is.
