Country Music Monday

Country Music Monday sponsored by The Rotary Club of Giddings brings five outstanding performers to the stage for the May 7th program. Ken Brothers, Allen Orts, 2 ½ Angels, Randy Boyd and Jeff Kimey are scheduled for your enjoyment of Country Music.

Ken Brothers is well known to this community for his entertainment abilities with song and instrument. Allen Orts has played guitar for many years and has been a frequent Country Music Monday guest. 2 ½ Angels stars Jeff Kimey. Jeff is a Lee County native who has spent a number of years in Nashville playing clubs and learning the Country Music Business. He missed Texas during those sixteen years and is happy to be back in home territory and is anxious to share his talents with long-time friends.

Randy Boyd is a fourthgeneration resident of Port Lavaca. He currently resides in Crescent Valley, a community south of Victoria. His main instrument is pedal steel guitar but is also comfortable playing lead guitar. To this he adds the interesting variation of the harmonica. Randy is a member of the Southeast Texas Steel Guitar Club and the Texas State Steel Guitar Association. To the performers listed we add the regular Country Music Monday band for the Monday, May 7th entertainment.

Country Music Monday is held at the Giddings High School Cafetorium on Highway 77 North of Giddings. Performance time is 7:30 P.M. Admission ticket price is $5.00. For those who are hungry, food is available and Rotarians help with the parking.
