The Lexington Eagles set themselves up for a playoff clinching game Friday night with a 6-2 win over Rogers Tuesday night. W. E. Meuth pitched a complete game for Lexington, as he held two-time state champ Rogers to seven hits and only two runs. Meuth struck out four and walked two in the victory. Older brother Logan helped out, going three for four and scoring twice.

Lexington struck early as Donnie Havard led off with a single. Logan Meuth followed with a single, the first of three hits. A short grounder to the pitcher moved the runners to second and third. Lane Turner singled, as both runners scored to give Lexington a 2-0 lead.

Lexington added to their lead in the third. Logan Meuth doubled down the left field line leading off. Kogan Garrett followed with a solid single, as Meuth moved to third. Once again, Turner sent both runners home with a single. W.E. Meuth singled with one out. An error by the Rogers shortstop sent Jacob Snyder and Meuth into scoring position. Derek Dane singled with two out to score Snyder, and Jason Washington singled home W.E. Meuth. Lexington led 6-0.
