Attempted Abduction of Teenage Girl

On Saturday, March 24, at approximately 8 p.m., Lexington Police Officer Nurse made contact with a 14 year old black female, who advised that she was almost abducted by an unknown older black male.

The victim advised that the suspect pulled alongside of her in an older model white sedan as she walked near the Lexington Livestock Commission after dark. The suspect then exited his vehicle and attempted to grab her and force her inside.

She told Officer Nurse that she fought off the male assailant by striking him in the face with a closed fist and screaming for help.

She reported that at that time, the man let her go and re-entered his vehicle, driving off at a high rate of speed. She ran toward the Lexington Police Department, when she was met by Officer Nurse at the Lexington Eagle Automotive Shop on the corner of Third and Main Streets.

The young girl described the suspect as being 30 to 40 years of age, standing approximately 5’10” tall, weighing about 185 pounds, with a low fade haircut. If there are potential witnesses or anyone with any additional information about this attempted abduction, please contact Cpt. Clarence Yarbrough with the Lexington Police Department at (979)773- 3654.
