Delta Kappa Gamma Society Has March Meeting

The Gamma Omega Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society met at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the Fellowship Hall of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, Texas, with 54 members present.

Cindy Jackson read the Mission Statement, pledges were led by Denise Brademan, and Rebecca French read the Collect. The prayer was given by Sarah Garrison and Trudy Holland gave the Meditation. Tammy Alford led the music.

The opening activity was to guess how much the Silent Auction would make. Members were asked to write their name and the amount on a piece of paper. Papers were given to Lynda York and the winner will be announced at the next meeting.

The program for the day was “Spring into Auction…Time to Shop” which was the annual Silent Auction.

President Mary Keienburg presided over the business meeting. Minutes from the February meeting were approved as printed. Lynda York read Treasurer’s Report for Linda Pinkerton, Treasurer, and it was approved. Natalie Neumann read thank you notes from Maggie Selman, Joan Hester, Erin Lischka, and Amber Becerra.

Trudy Holland presented the slate of officers: Mary Keienburg, president; Trudy Holland, First Vice-President; Lou Pruitt, Second Vice-President; Carolyn Golan, Recording Secretary; and Cheryl Pritchett, Corresponding Secretary. Officers were elected by a show of hands. Mary Keienburg reminded members that the Chapter Website is up and linked to the State Website.

Patsy Ashorn won the Door Prize donated by Barbara Webb, and Heather Smith won the Perfect Attendance Prize donated by Jennifer Mohr. Lee County members were thanked for serving as hostesses. The next meeting will be April 14, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg with Burleson County members serving as hostesses.
