Former Lexington Middle School Teacher Facing Charges, Including Sexual Assault of a Child

On February 28, 2012 the Pflugerville Police Department received information that a Lexington Middle School Teacher, Holly Lopez, WF, 32 years old, had an improper relationship with two male students, ages 14 and 13. Lexington ISD Police Chief D. Mohr had received the outcry statement from one of the victims after the victim requested his assistance in stopping Lopez from texting him repeatedly. Interviews were conducted on both victims and other persons who possibly had knowledge of the incident.
The investigation revealed that on February 11, 2012 Lopez contacted one of the victims via text message. She then drove to a residence in Pflugerville where both victims were staying. Lopez arrived with condoms and engaged both victims in sexual intercourse.
During the course of the investigation approximately 1100 text messages were also documented that detailed conversations between Lopez and the victim before and after the incident.
After the incident, Lopez resigned from her position with Lexington I.S.D.
Warrants were issued for Lopez on March 14, 2012 for the following charges:
. Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student - 2nd Degree Felony—Bond $50,000
. Aggravated Sexual Assault—1st Degree Felony—Bond $50,000
On March 15, 2012 Pflugerville Police Department officers arrested Lopez at her residence. She is currently being held at Travis County Central Booking.
