Kasey Smith reached on an error, Madison Bexley singled and Rachael Beard singled home a run. Chelsea Nadeau walked, Brown singled in her second at-bat in the first inning and Beard scored on a wild pitch. Seven runs had crossed the plate when the dust settled.

Thorndale was able to score two runs in the top of the second inning on a Lexington error and a single into right field. Lexington added three runs in the bottom of the second. Wrinkle reached on an error by the left fielder and Kasey Smith smoked a line drive over the centerfield fence for her first high school home run. Madison Bexley followed with a triple and Beard singled her home.
