A concerned motorist reported that a vehicle was pulled over on CR 200 east of the crossover in Hills. Deputy Allen located the vehicle and spoke to the driver who stated that he had just pulled over to get some rest. Everything was okay.
Deputy Allen was dispatched to a residence in Lexington after a caller reported that his juvenile son was acting unruly and he could not control him. He was home because he was suspended from school.
A resident on CR 133 called and reported that her mailbox had been knocked down. Deputy Liles took the information and a report was taken.
Deputy Liles met with a complainant regarding credit card theft. She reported that someone had stolen the numbers off her debit card and purchased something. A report was taken and investigation continues.
A motorist reported that a white cargo van was parked on the side of the road on FM 448 and the driver was attempting to flag people down. Deputy Liles located the vehicle and gave the driver a courtesy ride into town to get some gas.
Deputy Skinner attempted to locate a subject that was reported to be walking down Hwy 290 just west of the city limits. The subject had hitched a ride into town.
February 28, 2012
Several motorists reported cows out on Hwy 77 North approx ½ mile from the county line. Deputy Rudolph located the cows and ran them into a pasture. The owner was contacted and advised that his fence needed to be repaired as soon as possible.
A caller reported that she had a flat tire and was parked on the side of the road on Hwy 77 just north of Hwy 21. Deputy Liles assisted.
Deputy Rudolph met with a complainant on CR 114 after she reported that her mailbox had been damaged sometime during the night. A report was made.
February 29, 2012
The Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from a female stating that her neighbor had assaulted her daughter and was still on her property. Chief Deputy Lapham, Captain Gonzales, Deputy Rudolph, Deputy Allen responded to the scene on CR 226. A criminal trespass citation was issued.
A caller requested a welfare check on two juveniles between 10 and 12 years of age on CR 226. Caller thinks the parents left them home alone. She is concerned for their well being and safety because CPS was out to their house before. Deputy Crockett and Deputy Ray checked on the situation and everything was ok.
A complainant reported that she wanted to leave her residence because she was having an argument with her husband. Her husband refused to give her keys to her vehicle. Deputy Skinner reported that she was given her keys and she left.
Deputy Rudolph and Deputy Ray responded to a disturbance at Westwood Villa Apts. A female subject called and reported that a girl confronted her in the parking lot and was trying to start a fight. Both parties agreed to stay away from the other.
March 1, 2012
A motorist reported that a vehicle was parked on the side of the road on Hwy 21 in Manheim. Deputy Liles checked on the occupants. They had someone on the way to pick them up.
Deputy Carvin was dispatched to a disturbance on FM 131. The complainant stated that she was disciplining her juvenile daughter when things got out of control and her daughter hit her. The daughter would be staying with relatives in Houston. The mother does not wish to press charges.
A complainant met with Deputy Crockett and Deputy Ray at the Sheriff’s Office. He reported that someone shot at him on CR 125. A report was taken and investigation continues at this time.
Captain Gonzales was dispatched to Hwy 290 East at FM 180 to put up loose livestock. The animals were chased off the roadway.
March 2, 2012
A motorist reported that a white semi truck carrying a load of roof tresses was leaning too much to the right as if the load was uneven. They had no escorts and they were eastbound from Hills. Deputy Rudolph attempted to locate the semi.
A caller requested assistance in removing a horse off of FM 141 in Dime Box. Captain Gonzales advised that the horse was put into the feed stalls on the Riggins place until it is claimed.
Bluebonnet Trails MHMR requested a welfare check on a man who lives on FM 141 in Dime Box. Deputy Allen met them at the address and everything was okay.
Deputy Allen was dispatched to attempt to locate a white box truck on Hwy 290 East heading westbound that was failing to maintain a single lane. He was able to locate the truck, followed it, and reported that he did not observe it weave or make any traffic violations.
Deputy Ayres responded to a call on CR 135 after a caller reported finding a partially smoked marijuana cigarette. The marijuana was confiscated and a report was made.
March 3, 2012
A male caller reported that his wife was upset with him and she began to hit him. He locked himself in the bedroom because he was afraid he might hit her back. Caller lives on CR 200 and wanted to speak to a deputy about his situation. Deputy Liles, Deputy Skinner and Deputy Ayres responded.
A commissioner reported that someone knocked down the mailbox and went through the fence at the old Serbin Store. Deputy Rudolph responded and did a report. Investigation continues at this time.
Deputy Allen was dispatched to an alarm call at a local business. The key holder was contacted and everything was okay.
Deputy Ayres spoke to a complainant who reported that her sister put her dog down because she said it bit someone. An information report was taken.
Several motorists reported that CR 430/CR 424 was being blocked by people from the trail ride. Deputy Liles checked on the situation and reported to dispatch that traffic was moving, just very slowly.
March 4, 2012
A complainant reported that someonewasridinga4wheelerin the back side of his pasture on CR 118. Deputy Ayres and Deputy Skinner checked the area and located people riding were across the railroad tracks, not on this subject’s property.
A motorist reported a calf out on FM 180 approx 7 miles off Hwy 290. Deputy Allen responded and ran it off the roadway.
Deputy Rudolph met with a complainant on East Hwy 21 regarding an animal complainant. The problem was taken care of.
A complainant came to the Sheriff’s office and spoke to Deputy Ayres regarding a domestic disturbance.
Deputy Liles was dispatched to CR 430 in Dime Box after a caller reported that a female was trespassing on her property. The trespasser was issued a criminal trespass warning.
