Adele Frieda Hengst
Funeral services for Adele Frieda (Urban) Hengst will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale, with Pastor James Mann officiating, burial to follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Gregory Hengst, Karl Hengst, Travis Waiser, Shane Waiser, Butch Fuessel, and Brian Meadors.
Adele Frieda Hengst was born February 15, 1922 in Fedor, Texas and was the daughter of Charles (Karl) Urban and Ida (Lehmann) Urban. She was raised in Fedor and attended school at Trinity Lutheran School in Fedor.
She and Roy Oscar Hengst were married on June 27, 1948 and has been a Thorndale resident for the past 64 years. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale.
Adele passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at her home with her loving family with her. She reached the age of 90 years and 3 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Granddaughter, Natalie Hengst; Brother, Monroe Urban; Sisters, Meta Patschke, Ella Pillack & Minnie Jatzlau.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Roy Hengst of Thorndale, Sons, Dennis Hengst and wife Helen of Giddings, Ralph Hengst of Thorndale, Allen Hengst and wife Jeanne of Thorndale. Daughters, Darlene Waiser and husband Raymond of Thorndale, Gracie Fuessel and husband Richard of Thorndale; Sister, Laura Culp of Thorndale; 10 Grandchildren, Crystal Devoll and husband Kyle of Giddings, Gregory Hengst and wife Heather of Thorndale, Karl Hengst of College Station, Shannon Meadors and husband Brian of Rockdale, Tanya Staude and husband Jarod of College Station, Travis Waiser and wife Amy of Kerrville, Shane Waiser of Brenham, Butch Fuessel and wife Terri of College Station, Sandy Travis and husband Carter of Thorndale, and Shelby Fuessel of College Station; 14 Great Grandchildren, Kolman Hengst, Kinley, Hadley, and Kale Meadors, Mason, Alex and Trevor Staude, Makayla, Callie and Addison Waiser, Kylee, Karson, and Kimber Fuessel, and Case Travis.
