Seton Mammogram Service

The Seton Family of Hospitals, along with the Lee County Area Cancer Resource Center, will be providing free Mammograms to qualifying women in the area on April 2 and 3, 2012. The criteria to receive a free mammogram are: Must be at least 40 yers old; No breast implants, not pregnant, not breast feeding, and no current breast problems; no insurance, Medicaid, Medicare (exceptions will be made for women who are low income and insured with a very high deductible.); must be low income; no previous mammograms within the past year; and no history of breast cancer.

Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling Seton Cancer Screening at 512-505-5528 or 1-866-294-4923.

Clinical breast exams, breast self-exam, and mammography are the best fight against breast cancer for ALL women. Early detection is the key! It is important for women to learn how to examine their own breasts monthly since most lumps are found by women themselves.
