Master Gardener Autumn Harry was the guest speaker at the February 9th meeting of the Lexington Garden Club, where she gave a presentation on Gourds. She has been growing these interesting plants for many years and shared how to grow, harvest, store, use and care for gourds as well as a slide show of different varieties and samples for members to view and purchase.

The co-hostesses were (L to R) Nina Seifert, Karen Boriack, Wanda Townsend, and Lina Murray.

The next meeting will be March 8th, at 2 pm at the Holy Family Catholic Church parish hall. Hummingbirds will be the topic and the speaker will be Mark Klym, Texas Agri-Life agent and co-author of Hummingbirds of Texas.
