Lexington Clinches 3rd Place in District
Lexington won the game against Rogers in typical fashion, as their pressure defense caused numerous turnovers and earned some easy lay ins for the offense.
A.J. Flot, just back from a bout with the flu, led the team in scoring. He was the beneficiary of Lexington assists, off of drives by Jason Washington and Donnie Havard. Flot moved near the basket, and was passed the ball for very short shots.
Havard had the shooting night for Lexington. It seemed every time Rogers would make a run at Lexington, Havard would put a dagger in their comeback attempt with a three-point shot. Havard made three treys, all at critical points in the game.
When he wasn’t driving to the basket, Washington would drop a long three to draw the Rogers defense back outside.
